1. Information We Collect. When you create an account, we store your email address and callsign. During gameplay, we track anonymous usage analytics (games played, tutorial completions) to improve the experience. We do not collect personal data beyond what you provide.
2. How We Use Your Data. Your email is used for authentication and account recovery. Your callsign is displayed to other players in multiplayer lobbies. Game stats are used to improve game balance and track engagement trends.
3. Data Storage. Account and game data are stored securely on our servers. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
4. Third-Party Services. We use Google for optional OAuth sign-in. When you use Google sign-in, Google handles authentication — we receive only your email and basic profile info. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
5. Cookies. We use local browser storage to remember your audio preferences, ship skin, and game progress. No tracking cookies are used.
6. Your Rights. You can request account deletion at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated game data.
7. Children's Privacy. Rival Orbit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
8. Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes where practical.
